Description Omius cooling elements

The heat sinks are made of highly thermally conductive graphite with a hydrophilic coating that optimises the absorption and evaporation of the water that causes the cooling effect.

When water or sweat evaporates, energy is absorbed. In humans, this evaporation takes place on the surface of the skin, where it absorbs heat and cools the body.

The cooling amplification effect of Omius technology is created by the graphite becoming an extension of the skin and increasing the surface area on which water can evaporate and thus create a cooling effect. The water is absorbed into the porous graphite, where it has about five times the surface area for evaporation. The conversion of water from a liquid to a gas on these surfaces absorbs energy, and the technology draws this energy away from the skin that comes into contact with the inside of the graphite cooling pieces, cooling the skin. As the cooling effect is driven by the evaporation of water, the effect lasts forever as long as the cooling pieces are moist and have air flowing through them.

Omius cooling elements can be purchased in packs of 4 or 20. The cooling elements can easily be exchanged between the form factors.
